Plan for the Week | 5- 11 JULY

Community Garden plants are growing well despite the heat and lack of rain. Irrigation was increased to run three times during the day to keep plants adequately watered and will be closely monitored each day. Tomato and pepper plants are stressed during the high heat afternoons.

Garden activities for volunteers will be in the morning only.  Once temperatures exceed 90 degrees, the garden will be closed to avoid heat-related problems.  Volunteers must bring water or other drinks to stay hydrated.
