Plan for the Week | 24 – 30 May

24 May

Finally, some much needed rain! Plants are doing well, growing, and starting to produce.  Last week saw a harvest of 90 pounds of Yukon Gold potatoes along with Hungarian Banana Peppers and a spicy Big Jake pepper variety.  Bell peppers will be ready to harvest this week along with more soft neck garlic.  Eggplant is also coming along.  Pole beans were planted along with four varieties of cucumbers—two beds each for the beans and cucumbers.  Carrots will be planted later in the week as soil temperatures are now consistently above 65 degrees.

Due to having more rain in the forecast, the garden will only be open to the public on a limited basis.  Please check the Event Calendar if you are interested in volunteering.  Your support is greatly appreciated!

The Garden Manager or Master Gardeners will be on site when the garden is open.  Please check in when you arrive to see how you can add your expertise.
