TRAINING | Community Garden Volunteer Orientation (PM)

Attendance to the E. Lincoln Community Garden orientation and training is required before you can volunteer at the community garden.

There are three requirements mandated and managed by Sally’s YMCA.

• Volunteers must read and sign a Release of Liability form pertaining to volunteer work at Sally’s YMCA
• Volunteers agree to a no-cost personal background check
• Volunteers must also complete an on-line course providing instructions and guidance related to working with children while at the community garden

The second part of the session is familiarization with the Garden Guidelines for volunteers to follow while working at the community garden.  The Garden Manager will go over pertinent information from the guidelines, how to use the ELCG website, and answer questions.
