If you’re an avid gardener, someone wanting to improve your gardening skills, or just find enjoyment being outdoors in a garden environment, please consider volunteering your time at the East Lincoln Community Garden!
The First Step — Sign up to let us know who you are!
Tell us about your gardening experience — If you’re a beginner or consider yourself experienced but not with growing fruits and vegetables, we’ll work with you to build your knowledge and confidence in the community garden.
If you have training and experience with growing food crops or you’re a Certified Extension Master GardenerSM, your talents are well-suited to providing instruction to learning volunteers and taking on garden management responsibilities. We need your expertise!
The best time for you to volunteer — Life has it’s challenges for all of us and demands on your time may compete with your ‘quality of life’ time. When to volunteer is up to matching your availability with community garden needs shown on our Garden Events schedule. Let us know if there are days of the week and time of day (morning vs. afternoon) that work best for you. Come out as often as you can — we want this to become an activity you look forward to!
Learn more about the community garden and the expectations for being a volunteer — Plan to attend one of our upcoming orientation sessions being held in March. Once you sign up as a prospective volunteer, the Garden Manager will contact you to schedule an orientation meeting date and time that fits your schedule.
